Some tips of hair extensions care and maintain

To keep your Julia hair extensions looking great it’s vital to only use water based and natural products for your extensions. Adding products that contains many harmful ingredients (alcohol) affects the natural state of your extensions. In addition, water based products are important, as they add moisture to your hair, not grease.

Julia hair Mall brings to you some tips to maintain hair extensions:

Combing

Be gentle with your 100% human hair extension. Part your hair extensions into 4 equal sections. Always use a wide-tooth comb and/or paddle brush. Comb gently from the ends and work your way up to the scalp. Do not comb or brush curly hair extension when dry or it may cause tangling.

Washing your extensions

We recommend that you wash your extensions weekly.

Section hair into 4-6 sections; wash each section at a time

Detangle hair extensions during pre-poo- detangle extensions and condition (for deep conditioning, leave conditioner on for 15 to 30 minutes; you can use the Baggy Method)

Shampoo with sulfate free shampoo

Re-apply a conditioner after shampooing

Rinse conditioner

Apply a curl styler (optional)

Air dry

Heat:

Do not blow-dry or curl your Julia hair extension daily; Use heat sparingly on both your natural hair and the extensions to prevent heat damage and breakage. This will also keep the texture rich and full.

For daily maintenance:

Before bed, loosely two strand twist hair into large sections. Cover with a silk lined bonnet or silk scarf.

In the morning, take twists down. Mist lightly with water or with your favorite liquid leave-in conditioner. Apply a moisturizing cream.

Curly Hair:

Curly hair such as Malaysian curly hair may require more maintenance than straight hair. Allow extra time to care for this style of hair to keep it manageable. Use a sulfate-free shampoo once a month, and condition up to 2-3 times weekly or when it’s too dry. Tressame Flawless Curls or Aussie Moisturizing works especially well.
