I recently co-washed my virgin Brazilian hair. Now, I’m not going to pretend that I knew what co-washing was prior to a few weeks ago. I’m technically not even sure I’m using it right, but, assume it means to wash the hair with conditioner, usually before getting it sewn or glued in.

I co-washed the Brazilian Body Wave hair that I mentioned in one of my previous post. The hair lost it’s original curl pattern, which I expected but, the curliness did reappear after the hair dried. I was worried it would stay straight. It only shed a few strands during the entire process. Below I listed the steps I took to co-wash my brazilian body wave human hair weave.
Wet one bundle of hair.
Pour conditioner into one hand and starting from the top, rub the conditioner over the hair.
Comb through the hair.
Place the hair in a plastic bag, preferably a large ziploc bag.
Repeat steps 1-4 with the other bundles and place them into the same bag. Remove all the air.
Microwave the hair for a minute, this is so the hair will be deep conditioned.
Rinse all the bundles.
Let them hang to air dry.
