What is virgin hair?

Virgin hair is chemically unprocessed human hair, which is collected from a single donor (the donor could be Indian, Malaysian, Brazilian, etc). The virgin hair is remy hair that has not been altered by dyes, perms, bleaches, or harsh washes. We only uses the highest quality virgin hair on the market.

What is the difference between remy and non-remy hair?

Remy hair is gathered from the head of donors/producers in such a way as to keep the hair’s cuticles properly aligned in relation to its neighboring hairs. This means the hair remains softer and silkier, and is useful in producing higher-quality wigs, extensions and hairpieces. Remy hair is not necessarily virgin hair, since it may be colored or permed. Its defining features are an intact cuticle and the manner in which it was harvested. We provide virgin cuticle aligned hair that is not chemically processed.

Non-remy hair is the left over hair that in most cases is gathered from the floors of temples and salons then recycled to make a weft. The hair cuticles are facing various directions, which causes the hair to tangle and matte quite easily. Because sellers know this, they often dip the hair in a silicone coating to try to disguise the hair. This hair is often found in beauty supply stores and is less likely to be used for more than one install. The hair extensions can be dyed or flat ironed, all hairs are in their natural color but client can add different color or length.

How much hair is needed for a weave?

The amount of hair required depends on the look you want. Here is a simplified guide: Full head sew in weave: Hair 10″ to 16″ long 4 ounces = A half head of extensions (to add body or length) 8 ounces = A full head of extensions 6 – 8 ounces = A full head of extensions with a closure piece or frontal piece. 12 ounces = A full head of extensions

How do I get my curly hair not to be frizzy?

Curly hair such as Brazilian curly virgin hair takes a bit more upkeep than straight/wavy hair. Co-wash(Washing your hair w/ just conditioner) every 2-3 days, combing it out with a paddle brush, and let the hair air dry, the curls will allow the hair to dry with no frizz.
